Father’s Day
Cultural Association of Ano Syros
In Syros, Father’s Day has been celebrated for 28 consecutive years. This year’s event is co-organized by the Cultural Association of Ano Syros and the South Aegean Region, with the support of the Municipality of Syros–Ermoupolis, in collaboration with the Lyceum of Greek Women of Syros and the Cultural Associations of: Asia Minor Refugees of Ermoupolis, Peloponnesians “The Old Man of Moreas”, Galissas, Posidonia “Poseidon”, “Agios Stefanos”, Galissas, Chroussa, Women of Seafarers “Anchor”, the Nautical Ecological Cultural Club of Kini, and the Community of Ano Syros.
This year, Dimitris Varthalitis, publisher of Syrian Letters and educator, will be honored.

Στη Σύρο η Παγκόσμια ημέρα του Πατέρα εορτάζεται για 28η χρονιά. Μια συνδιοργάνωση του Π.Σ. Άνω Σύρου και της Περιφέρειας Νοτίου Αιγαίου με την υποστήριξη του Δήμου Σύρου – Ερμούπολης, τη συνδρομή του Λυκείου Ελληνίδων Σύρου και των Πολιτιστικών Συλλόγων: Μικρασιατών Ερμούπολης, Πελοποννησίων «Ο Γέρος του Μωριά», Γαλησσά, Π.Σ. Ποσειδωνίας «Ο Ποσειδών», «Άγιος Στέφανος», Γαλησσά, Χρούσσων, Γυναικών Ναυτικών «Άγκυρα», Ναυτικού Οικολογικού Πολιτιστικού Ομίλου Κινίου και της Κοινότητας Άνω Σύρου.
Φέτος θα τιμηθεί ο εκδότης των ΣΥΡΙΑΝΩΝ ΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΩΝ, Εκπαιδευτικός Δημήτρης Βαρθαλίτης.
