The performance Polyphonies Vol. 1 – Ekkentrites is a musical concert-research project by the Mixed Choir of the Music Society of Syros (M.O.S.) and the female vocal ensemble Laluνε, exploring choral music and how monophonic music transforms through the lens of polyphony.
Our research has led us to a unique selection of songs from various eras and musical genres. The concert will present works ranging from international Rock, Punk, and Folk to Greek traditional and contemporary classical music.
Highlights include music by bands and composers such as Pink Floyd, The Clash, Manos Hadjidakis, Yannis Aggelakas, and Heimerinoi Kolymvites, among others.
We aspire to make this concert an annual event dedicated to polyphonic music.

Η παράσταση Polyphonic Vol1 – Εκκεντρίτες είναι μια μουσική συναυλία-έρευνα της Μικτής Χορωδίας του Μουσικού Ομίλου Σύρου (Μ.Ο.Σ.) και του γυναικείου φωνητικού συνόλου Λαlunε με θέμα τη χορωδιακή μουσική και πώς μεταμορφώνεται η μονοφωνική μουσική υπό το πρίσμα της πολυφωνίας.
Η έρευνά μας, μας οδήγησε σε μια ιδιαίτερη επιλογή τραγουδιών από πλευράς εποχής και μουσικού είδους. Στην παράσταση θα παρουσιαστούν έργα από την διεθνή Rock, Punk, Folk σκηνή μέχρι την ελληνική παραδοσιακή και σύγχρονη λόγια μουσική.
Ενδεικτικά θα ακουστούν έργα συγκροτημάτων όπως Pink Floyd, The Clash, Μ. Χατζηδάκις, Γ. Αγγελάκας, Χειμερινοί Kολυμβητές κ.α.
Φιλοδοξούμε να κάνουμε αυτή τη συναυλία μια θεσμική παράσταση αφιερωμένη στην πολυφωνική μουσική.
