Τα τελευταία χρόνια της ζωής του, ο Μίκης Θεοδωράκης είχε εμπιστευτεί στον Στέφανο Κορκολή το «νέο του ξεκίνημα» αποκαλώντας τον «ιδανικό ερμηνευτή και πρεσβευτή της μουσικής του προς το ελληνικό και το διεθνές κοινό».
Σε αυτό το ρεσιτάλ ο Στέφανος μαζί με την Σοφία Μανουσάκη ξεδιπλώνουν όλες τις πτυχές της μουσικής μεγαλοφυΐας του Θεοδωράκη, από τα λυρικά του τραγούδια μέχρι τα εμβληματικά του έργα όπως η μπαλάντα του Μαουτχάουζεν και ο Επιτάφιος.
Ποιήματα που έγιναν πασίγνωστα τραγούδια και αγαπήθηκαν από όλες τις γενιές και συνεχίζουν να «σημαδεύουν ανεξίτηλα» τις ψυχές μας.
