Organized by the Educational and Cultural Association “O Foinikas Syrou”
The Limassol Scouts Philharmonic was originally formed in the 1960s under the direction of the Greek conductor Mpritsoulis.
The current conductor is Iosef Kartapanis. The Philharmonic is made up of Cub Scouts, scouts, rovers, scout leaders, and even scouts’ parents. Emphasis is placed on members’ musical education through seminars, educational trips, camps, and, of course, the learning and maintenance of musical instruments.
Their presence in Syros marks the 20th anniversary of the Philharmonic and is a recognition of the young members’ efforts and dedication.

ΈΠΙΜΟΡΦΩΤΙΚΟΣ – ΦΙΛΟΤΈΧΝΙΚΟΣ ΣΥΛΛΟΓΟΣ «Ο ΦΟΙΝΙΚΑΣ ΣΥΡΟΥ»
Η Φιλαρμονική Προσκόπων Λεμεσού αρχικά συστάθηκε τη δεκαετία του΄60 υπο την διεύθυνση του Ελλαδίτη μαέστρου Μπριτσούλη.
Μαέστρος της Φιλαρμονικής είναι ο Ιωσήφ Καρταπάνης. Η Φιλαρμονική αποτελείται από λυκόπουλα, προσκόπους, ανιχνευτές, βαθμοφόρους, ακόμη και γονείς προσκόπων. Δόθηκε σημασία στην εκπαίδευση των μελών με μουσικά σεμινάρια, εκπαιδευτικές εκδρομές, κατασκηνώσεις και φυσικά την εκμάθηση και συντήρηση οργάνων.
Η παρουσία της στη Σύρο, εντάσσεται στον εορτασμό των εικοσάχρονων της Φιλαρμονικής και αποτελεί επιβράβευση των προσπαθειών των παιδιών.
