The Cemetery of the Angels is one of the most unusual and moving sites in Ano Syros. It is traditionally associated with the burial of unbaptized children and stands today as a place of memory rather than a conventional monument, offering a more intimate perspective on the island’s social and religious past.

Located in the northern part of the settlement, the site is valued less for scale than for atmosphere. Its stillness, combined with the surrounding character of Ano Syros, gives visitors the chance to encounter a deeply human layer of local history and to experience a quieter side of the settlement beyond its better-known landmarks.
